Prolex™ Streptococcal Grouping Kit-Acid Extraction

Prolex™ Strep offers a unique method for Lancefield grouping beta-haemolytic Streptococci. Using modified acid extraction reagents developed by Pro-Lab Diagnostics, and blue carboxylated latex particles, results are obtained within one minute at room temperature for groups A, B, C, D, F, and group G. All labels and caps within the kit are colour coded for ease of identification, and presented in easy-to-use, convenient dropper bottles.

The Prolex™ Strep Enzyme Kit

The Prolex™ Strep Enzyme Kit incorporates the use of lytic enzymes and a 10 minute incubation to release the group specific carbohydrate antigens required for the Lancefield Grouping of beta-haemolytic streptococci belonging to groups A-G. These extracts can be easily grouped using blue carboxylated polystyrene particles sensitized to each of the Lancefield groups.

The Prolex™ Streptococcal Xtra Grouping - Enzyme Extraction

The Prolex™ Streptococcal Xtra Select Kit provides a rapid and reliable platform for the identification of Lancefield Group A and Group B streptococci using only one lytic extraction reagent and specifically labelled blue carboxylated latex particles. This kit is conveniently formatted such that a customer can either select either 2 vials of Group A, 2 vials of Group B or one vial of each. The test has the advantage of offering instant clear results at room temperature using the unique one step extraction procedure.
